Chinese Arts & Music Association

The Northwest Drum Ensemble was established in 2008, and is formed of drums and various percussion instruments. Percussion instruments are often considered the backbone or the heart of a musical ensemble, usually synchronized closely with bass instruments.

The Drum Ensemble was formed with the hope of spotlighting Chinese percussion instruments, allowing audiences to hear and experience the excitement of these sounds exclusively. It has since become a crowd favorite, receiving many performance requests from local community groups.
